FAQ

How should I store the candle before giving it as a gift?

Store the candle in a cool, dry, and dark place – ideally at room temperature, but away from direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources. This way, both the scent and the appearance will be preserved in the best way.

Since the candles are made of 100% natural soy wax, the surface may react to temperature changes during transport or storage. This is completely normal – especially visible on strongly colored candles – and does not affect the quality or the scent.

For the best experience, I recommend gifting the candle within 3–4 months. But if stored properly, it will last beautifully even longer.

Why does the flame flicker up and down? Is that normal?

Yes, it’s completely normal. Since the candles are handmade with natural wax and cotton or wooden wicks, the flame can react to small variations in the wax, air drafts, or the wick itself. This does not affect the candle’s function or safety – on the contrary, it’s part of the living character of handmade candles.

Want a steadier flame? ✂️ Always trim the wick before lighting – the ideal length is about the size of a grain of rice or a third of a pea. A wick that’s too long can create soot or flickering, while a wick that’s too short may cause the candle to go out. Trim gently when the wax is cool – or use a wick trimmer.

My candle looks uneven after delivery – is that normal? And how can I give it as a gift?

Yes, completely normal. Because I use 100% natural soy wax, the candle may react to temperature changes during shipping. This can create surface cracks, frosty patterns, or tiny air pockets – especially visible on candles with strong colors like red or green. But it doesn’t affect scent, quality, or burn time.

🎁 Want to gift it? A simple trick: use a hairdryer on low heat for a few seconds – the surface will melt evenly again, and it’s ready to be wrapped!

Most importantly – what you give is not just a candle, but a handcrafted sensory experience, created with care and real ingredients. Every little imperfection is proof that it wasn’t mass-produced – it was made by hand and with heart.

Are your candles vegan?

All my candles are made with 100% soy wax – completely plant-based and free from animal fats. I use phthalate-free fragrance oils and dyes that are not tested on animals.

However, they are not officially vegan-certified, since some ingredients are blends of natural and synthetic origins.

Want to be absolutely sure? Write to me – I’ll gladly help you choose a vegan-friendly option 💛

Are your candles 100% soy wax? Why soy?

Yes – the base of all my candles is 100% soy wax: a renewable, biodegradable, and plant-based wax. It burns slowly and cleanly, without smoke, making it a perfect choice for scented candles with a mild and even scent throw.

For certain decorations (like fruits, glaze, or crystals), I sometimes use gel wax or beeswax to create the right texture and look. These parts don’t affect the scent and don’t burn with the main wax.

Prefer coconut wax instead? That’s also possible for an additional cost – just write to me in DM and I’ll tell you more.

Do you use natural or synthetic fragrances in your candles?

I use phthalate-free synthetic fragrance oils, specially developed for candle and soap making. They are produced in the EU by IFRA-certified perfume houses and developed in laboratory environments that also create fragrance solutions for cosmetic products.

Synthetic fragrances are more stable, provide better scent throw, and last longer in warm wax compared to fully natural alternatives. Essential oils often become unstable when heated and have a weaker scent – which is why synthetic oils are a safe choice for both quality and experience.

With these oils, I can offer candles with consistent quality and a clear scent – every time you light them.
